A Leader’s “Weekly Review”

A simple way to step back, cut through the noise, and make better decisions going into the next week.

This week, I spoke with a senior leader who said:

‘Everything feels more urgent, but often not fully thought through’

We unpacked it.

It's not a capability issue, it’s a clarity issue.

Too many decisions being made quickly … and often not fully thought through or closed.

We all see it in:

  • revisiting the same topics

  • teams second-guessing direction

  • unnecessary escalation

A quick weekly review: what did I learn, what can I change?

  • What did I decide too quickly?

  • What’s come back around that should’ve been closed?

  • Where did I mistake speed for progress?

One shift for next week:

Ask before you answer…what’s a question that will help you get more insight, clarity or connect better?

Most leaders don’t need more time. They need an honest Weekly Review.
