Navigating '24: My Insights on Culture, Change, and Communication for Success

Holidays are always a great time to reflect - what have I learnt, who do I appreciate, what am I grateful for, what’s important, my goals?
This year has been particularly important as I transitioned from a long term career at Morgan Stanley to a vocation in Executive Coaching and Training (onekitecoaching.com).
My Insights from 2023…
I now know that Culture, Change and Communication are crucial to success.
Whether in our personal or professional lives, these 3 C’ will nourish, sustain and strengthen you!
Culture - we all have values and beliefs that are just as important as those corporate slogans we read about. Your Culture is our North Star that guides you during times of change, uncertainty and growth.
Having the courage to leave a fantastic career in Finance and pursue a new vocation was made possible by my belief in myself, my values and the support network I had.
Change - is a constant, get used to it! We have no control over change, however we can manage our response to it. It’s a SUPERPOWER - get comfortable being uncomfortable!
Then don't let anyone take that away…it’s not negotiable.
Throughout my personal and professional development I have always looked for new challenges and embraced change. Change is rarely comfortable, but is part of my learning and growing… our move to the US to Britain, career transitions, sports challenges, public speaking contests and more.
Communication - healthy relationships are at the core of all that is good in our lives. Using open communication helps foster stronger relationships. Be deliberate and proactive with your communications, in particular with those people who are important to you.
These last few years I have been more vulnerable, curious and less judgmental, which has helped me connect more closely with family members as well as people on my various coaching courses.
Harnessing the 3 C’s requires us to dig deep internally, rehearse and maybe get help from those who care. The 3 C’s will be part of my framework for future success and has already helped me get clarity, courage and connection!
